Day One — Women Rising
Why Women? Why Now?
Tuesday 30 November 2021, 10 AM–5.00 PM AESDT (ONLINE)
Wow! What a day we had for the launch of our National Congress series!
Our amazing line up of guest conversationalists explored women’s responses to climate change; First Nations approaches to gender governance and environmental management; the experience of women in government and other leadership positions, and the systems changes needed to allow full participation of women.
From the opening song, 'Dear Earth', through the Welcome to Country by Ngambri-Ngunnawal Elder Dr Matilda House, and the beautiful artistic presentation of The Singing Hill by Glenda Cloughley and friends, the space was set for 'Women Rising' and the energy in the Zoom Room was very high around this theme!

Day Two — Weaving
How can we work together across difference to restore climate balance?
Thursday 28 April 2022, 10 AM–5.00 PM AEST (ONLINE)
On Day Two, in the morning we shared stories of where power resides and explored new opportunities for working together for action on climate change at local and national levels. Considering our responsibilities to the Earth and future generations, in the afternoon we considered our own action pathways and ideas of how to create change in our own communities.
