NATIONAL CONGRESS OF WOMEN 2021
Join us
The WCC invites women of all ages from all walks of life and from every region in Australia to attend the Congress.
Sharing the cost of participation
The Congress is being organised and run by volunteers. In making decisions about the event economy, we have considered equity, cost-effectiveness, environmental impact and other values of the Women's Climate Congress. There are significant costs to run the event and we want it to pay for itself.
Over the series of online and (hopefully) face-to-face events, costs will include admin and IT costs, publicity, venue hire, catering and audiovisual systems and so on .
We are operating from the principle of ‘offer what you can and ask for what you need’.
You decide what is within your capacity to pay.
If you can, we invite you to increase your support through donation.
If you experience economic disadvantage, we invite you to pay the lower fee, or if that is too much, to have a conversation with a member of our hosting team (see below) to work out a way to get you there.
The National Congress of Women is an experiment in collaboration and participation – discovering what it means for women to lead and collaborate on the critical issue of climate change. The WCC warmly invites you into this experiment and into shared responsibility for supporting the Congress to happen. This includes supporting everyone who wants to attend, regardless of their capacity to pay.
